O’ ye people, you don't have to die in silent. When you see something, say something before it would be too late. The Bible teaches us that silence in times of difficulty is not the answer. When we are weak, in trouble, or facing challenges, we must lift our voices in prayer, in faith, and in testimony. These are the three keys to victory and the power to defeat our enemies.
In many some undeveloped Countries where high highly placed political people rule with authority, I understand very well that constitutionally, the people have the right to speak but politically no one have the right to voice out even in pain and hunger. Silence can be dangerous. It can keep us in bondage, delay our deliverance, and hinder the work of God in our lives. Today, I want to encourage you: Don’t keep silent! Even in your weakness, speak up, cry out, and declare the truth of God over your life.
1. Don’t Keep Silent—Cry Out to God in Prayer
In times of trouble, the best thing we can do is to cry out to God. Many people choose to suffer in silence, thinking that no one cares or that God is not listening. But the Bible is full of examples of people who cried out to God in their weakest moments, and God answered them.
Psalm 50:15 (KJV) – “Call on me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you will honor me.”
Psalm 34:17 (NKJV) – “The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles.”
One of the greatest examples of this is found in Mark 10:46-52, the story of Blind Bartimaeus. He was weak, helpless, and in desperate need of healing. But instead of keeping silent, he cried out to Jesus:
In verse 47 of the same chapter, the Bible says “When he heard that Jesus of Nazareth was passing, he cried out the more, ‘Jesus, thou Son of David, have mercy on me!’”
Even when the crowd says “No,” when people and his situation tried to silence him, he cried out even louder. And what happened? Jesus stopped, someone called my name, called him, and healed him!
In your life, what are you facing? What is it that your family is going through? Are you facing challenges today you feel no one keep solve? Are you struggling with weakness, pain, or distress? What is it! What is it? Don’t keep silent! Cry out to God in prayer. He hears, He cares, and He will always answer you.
2. Don’t Keep Silent—Declare God’s Promises Over Your Life
The Bible is full of God's promises to us. From generation to generations, His promises never fail. The enemy wants us to keep silent when we are weak. He wants us to focus on our problems instead of declaring God’s promises. Our words have power! Whatever you declare has the ability to change things in the spiritual realm - the realm we cannot see, the realm that decides the destiny of your generation even yet u born now and forever.
Proverbs 18:21 (NIV) – “The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit.”
When we speak God’s promises over our lives, we activate faith and invite His power into our situation. One powerful example is David. In 1 Samuel 30:6, David was greatly distressed because his enemies had taken everything from him. But instead of remaining silent, what did he do?
“David encouraged himself in the Lord his God.”
He spoke life into his situation! Instead of accepting defeat, he declared God’s faithfulness, and as a result, he recovered everything that was stolen.
When you are weak, when the world says “No,” don't give up! Don’t stay silent! Say something over your life. Something like:
“I am strong in the name of Jesus (Philippian 2:10; Ephesians 6:10).
- My God shall supply all my needs in the name of Jesus” (Philippians 4:19).
- No weapon formed against me shall prosper in the name of Jesus” (Isaiah 54:17).
- I am strong in the name of Jesus!
- I am delivered, in the name of Jesus!
- I declare my liberty now in the name of Jesus!
- My family is free, in the name of Jesus!
Say something! Declare His word!! His word faileith not, and watch your situation change!
3. Don’t Keep Silent—Ask for Help from Others
Many people suffer alone because they are so afraid to speak up. They don’t want to be a burden, they don't want to be exposed of their weaknesses, or they think no one will understand. But God has placed people in our lives—friends, family, and the church—to support and encourage us. The major reason why you don't need to keep enmity with people - malice, back biting, display wrong character and attitude or pray for your enemies to die. That enemy of yours might turn out to be your destiny helper.
God created men for men. He cannot just come from heaven to say okay Richard, “I have come or I am here now, what do you want me to do for you?” No! He has men all around us to use when we need help.
Galatians 6:2 says, “Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.”
In Exodus 17:12; Moses, a great leader, needed help. When the Israelites were fighting the Amalekites, Moses stood on a hill with his hands lifted in prayer. But when he became weak and could no longer hold them up, he didn’t keep silent—he allowed Aaron and Hur to help him. Holding his hands up steady until sunset.”
Moses could have tried to handle everything alone, but he didn’t. He allowed others to help him, and as a result, victory was won!
I perceive you that are reading this article are struggling almost to the point of committing suicide. Suicide is not the solution. Don’t suffer in silence. Reach out for help. Talk to a trusted friend, a pastor, or a mentor. God places people in our lives to strengthen us. Never keep silent else you die silently. Speak up!
4. Don’t Keep Silent—Praise God Even in the Storm
One of the greatest weapons we have in times of trouble is praise. When Paul and Silas were thrown into prison, they had every reason to be silent. But instead, they chose to praise God aloud.
The Bible says in Acts 16:25-26: “About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening to them. Suddenly there was such a violent earthquake that the foundations of the prison were shaken. At once all the prison doors flew open, and everyone’s chains came loose.”
Their praises choked the foundation of the prison, the gate broke open, and their chains loosed, and liberty was declared by the power of praise! If they had kept silent, they would have remained in bondage.
In your darkest moments, what do you do? Do you keep silent, cry to be console? Don’t keep silent! Praise God! Your praise can bring breakthrough, healing, and deliverance.
5. Don’t Keep Silent—Testify of God’s Goodness
Finally, when God brings you through your trials, don’t keep silent about it! Share your testimony.
Revelation 12:11 say: “They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony.”
Testimonies are so powerful and another weapon of war against our enemies. Your testimony can encourage someone else. Your story can remind others that God is faithful, and your testimony can heal others going through pain.
In Luke 17:11-19, ten lepers were healed by Jesus, but only one came back to testify. Jesus asked, “Where are the other nine?” Don’t be among those who forget to testify. Let your voice declare God’s glory and faithfulness!
Speak Up and See God Move!
Silence in times of trouble can keep us trapped, but when we cry out to God, declare His promises, ask for help, praise Him, and testify, we experience His power.
Isaiah 41:10 says: “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
- Are you weak? Cry out to God.
- Are you in trouble? Speak His promises.
- Are you struggling alone? Ask for help.
- Are you feeling hopeless? Praise Him.
- Has God delivered you? Testify!
Don't keep silent! Your voice can bring your victory.

Heavenly Father, thank You for reminding me that I don’t have to suffer in silence. Give me the courage to cry out to You, to declare Your promises, to seek help, to praise You, and to testify of Your goodness. Let my voices bring breakthrough, healing, and victory. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
